It’s been quite an adventure, seeing my protagonist, Evan Galloway, take shape and make his way into the world. THE NAMESAKE began as a class project during my graduate studies at Wesleyan University, and through perseverance, faith and the support of friends and family (not to mention lots of caffeine, Rolling Rock beer and homemade potato salad) and my wonderful agent, Victoria Marini, and editor, Jacquelyn Mitchard, it’s now available worldwide. Next stop? Only time will tell.
Welcome to the Journey
May 2, 2013 by
It’s been a swervy road from there to here, including stops along the way as an art student, waiter, quality manager (ugh), actor, and freelance graphic designer. Husband of Janet, proud father of Ben and Jillian, I’m a published poet, artist and teacher. My young adult novel, THE NAMESAKE, was released by new YA imprint, Merit Press, on January 18, 2013.
Congratulations! Looking forward to reading more about your journey!
Thanks so much, Allison! Stay tuned; there’s some cool stuff coming soon!
All best,
Steve
Hey, Steven. I’m here. Please send autographed copy of THE NAMESAKE Address: 31 Woodcock Ave #14 Haverhill, ma 01832. I know an actor who would love to be in the movie.
Hey Peter,
Glad you made it! I hope one day there actually will be a movie! I’ll definitely add your name to the drawing for a signed copy! Good luck!
Congratulations, Peter. All my best on your YA!
That was wrong. I meant Steven, but I guess I can congratulate you both!
Hey, C. Lee! Thanks so much, and Peter is absolutely deserving of congratulations – as are you for all your works!
